Rob Whale is a professional musician, multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger and teacher.
He has composed and arranged music for orchestras, wind bands, brass bands, string quartets, percussion ensembles, choirs and singers. Rob is accomplished in multiple genres, including: rock, pop, blues, jazz, classical, techno, reggae, folk, country, musical theatre, township jive, Zimbabwe, Indian, film, Turkish, male voice choir, fusion and hip hop.
Rob is a very successful and highly experienced teacher of music, especially at Key Stage 3, to A level. He has significantly raised the profile of music in the schools where he has taught. His students have achieved consistently well above the average grades for GCSE and A Level.
Along the way, Rob has created tried and tested a huge bank of Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and A Level resources.
Highly competent in the use of music technology, Rob has worked extensively with Cubase, Logic, & Sibelius. He is highly knowledgeable in audio recording techniques, editing and mixing.
In addition, Rob is a skilled band leader, choir master, conductor, and MD. He has successfully organised a multitude of musical events and is a regular gigging musician.
